Paula M. Alexa (BA) participated at the American Public Health Association Annual Meeting and Exposition held in New Orleans, USA during 15-19th November 2014.
On November 18th she presented the poster Young Adults’ Health Beliefs and safety concerns regarding the use of electronic cigarettes: Evidence from Eastern Europe. The work was presented in the Beyond Boundaries: Global Tobacco Control section. The poster showed the results of a comparative survey of Romanian and Moldavian students regarding a current topic of interest in tobacco research: electronic cigarettes and their increasing use. The work was coordinated by Oana Pop (MA, PhD(c)), member in the Community and Behavioral Health Department of Cluj School of Public Health.
On November 19th she presented the poster Assessing depression and anxiety in Romanian Psoriasis patient: Where is screening and intervention mostly needed? This presentation was hosted by APHA Student Assembly and disseminated the results of Project HAPPen, a 2013 pilot study focused on psychological distress amongst patients with chronic dermatological conditions.
