Petru Sandu, research staff of the Health Policy and Management Division within the Cluj School of Public Health, has recently been awarded with a scholarship in the Research Ethics Education in the Balkans and Black Sea Region program offered jointly by the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the University of Belgrade, School of Medicine through a National Institute of Health (NIH) grant.

The two years program will consist of on-site and online training followed by mentored pilot projects offered to participants for applying the concepts approached during courses.

Participation in the program will offer Petru the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge and to develop skills in research ethics related topics that will support his academic and research activities and will strengthen the institutional capacity in the field of ethical conduct of research.
