On February 25, 2016, the Cluj School of Public Health organized in Bucharest an expert group meeting as part of REPOPA Workpackage 4 – the Delphi study.

The aim of the meeting was to validate and contextualize – for Romania – a set of indicators for characterizing evidence informed policy processes. The meeting was delivered in the format of a workshop where all participants had to contribute for identifying the most important SWOTs points of applying the (previously developed) set of indicators in the Romanian policy arena, as well as to make recommendations/offer solutions for facilitating this process.

The information collected from Romanian expert group will be reported within the REPOPA Consortium and will contribute to the development of an EU applicable Guidance Resources that will be made available to European policymakers, with the purpose of supporting their work towards including (more) evidence into (health promotion/physical activity) policies they develop.

The participation of representatives of various fields (i.e. sport, education, and health), from various levels (i.e. national or local) and with various expertise (i.e. policy development, policy implementation, and political sciences/academia) in the Romanian expert group meeting resulted in richness and diversity of information provided and viewpoints expressed. We’d like to thank the participants for their valuable input and rapport.

Not least, the meeting was an excellent opportunity for project dissemination, various stakeholders being contacted and informed about REPOPA project with this occasion.

The main outputs of the REPOPA project will be presented in the final project meeting, scheduled in Brussels, Sept 8, 2016 and largely disseminated at European level.
