During 16-27 February 2016 our colleague Madalina Coman participated in a training course in Bucharest, Romania. The “Manage your team, increase your impact” training course was organized by a consortium of 6 youth organizations from Romania, Poland, Italy, Spain, Bulgaria and Ukraine through the Erasmus+ project.
The main project objectives were to better understand the different types of education (formal, non-formal, informal), their specific methods and their benefits in forming a team, to implement non-formal education methods with groups between 15-30 people, being able to create their own team-building and trust building methods and to manage a group (communication, giving tasks, motivation and conflict management), and to have a more open minded attitude towards young people, feel more motivated to implement projects in different institutions and NGOs and to be eager to apply more non-formal methods within their groups.
Throughout the project, participants worked in international teams in order to learn how to use non-formal education in big groups. Also, they went to several high schools in Bucharest where they applied the concepts and methods learned during the training course.
