Department of Public Health, College of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences, Babes-Bolyai University, together with the Association for Liberty and Equality of Gender – A.L.E.G. organized in April 13th 2016 in Sibiu a round table for the Prevention of gender based violence, as part of the IMPLEMENT project – Specialised support for victims of violence in Health Care Systems across Europe. During the round table the participants discussed the importance of the medical staff training in identifying and referring the victims of domestic violence towards the specialized services and the methods the medical staff can use for this purpose. The special guest of the round table, Prof. Christine Harrison, director of the Center for the Study of Safety and Well-being, University of Warwick, UK, shared some good practices examples from her 25 years experience in this field.
