Diana Dulf, MSc, PhD

Assistant Professor

Biography

Dr. Dulf is an Assistant Professor within the Department of Public Health, Babes-Bolyai University, Romania, coordinating the work on injury and violence prevention in the department. She has coordinated several pilot grants funded under the NIH trauma training grant (3D43TW00062) and built a strong Romanian research team and sustainable research activities in trauma and injury prevention in Romania.

Dr. Dulf’s PhD work was on road traffic safety, with a focus on children as vulnerable populations, and set groundwork for a multi-sectorial approach to increase child passenger safety in Cluj-Napoca, funded by the Fondation Botnar. One of the major results was the development of the Child Car Safety App. Currently, Dr. Dulf is leading the research work on the Safe Journeys to School in Cluj-Napoca project, funded by FIA Foundation.

Dr. Dulf works in the field of gender-based violence prevention and is focusing on how to better identify and refer survivors of GBV to different specialized support systems, from health care to police. With the role of national coordinator of the TACTICS Project, implemented across 7 different European regions, she collaborates for improving police authorities’ responses and follow-up procedures regarding victims and perpetrators of domestic violence.
