EU CERV Daphne Programme

Improving the response and follow-up of victims and perpetrators of domestic violence by police authorities

TACTICS

April 2023 – March 2026 Grant No. 101096908 7 European countries

About the project

Collaboration between police and various support service providers is crucial for effectively addressing intimate partner violence. Police officers, often the first responders to domestic violence incidents, serve as gatekeepers to a broader network of services, particularly for victim support and perpetrator programs.

However, in many European jurisdictions, numerous barriers—organizational, systemic, and individual—hinder law enforcement agencies from making necessary referrals and facilitating reporting. TACTICS focuses on overcoming these barriers by enhancing the knowledge and capacity of police and other frontline workers within this ecosystem.
